Glad I Didn’t Give Up: How It Changed Me. Ask and it is given.

I’ve made plans to read every book recommended in You Are Badass.

I enjoyed this book so much that I made the decision to read everything she has written and recommended. The first book I read was Ask and It Is Given.

This is the best law of attraction book I have ever come across. I can’t express my feelings in words, but I’ll try.
This book has 291 pages total, broken up into 22 chapters and a second section which is the 22 process. I always read the introduction because I like to understand the meaning behind each word and the inspiration for the writing of the book.

This was the first time; I was bored right away after reading the introduction, which took 35 pages. Doesn’t that seem like it took many pages to tell us how this book will help?

However, I kept reading, finishing the first chapter, and then, guess what, again focused on how this book will help you. I was extremely frustrated, but I was also extremely patient, so I continued reading. The second chapter contained the same information, Then, in the third, I made the decision to stop reading this book right here if the third chapter did not work out.

I promise that if a non-reader picks up this book for the first time, they will become frustrated after just the first chapter. Since I enjoy reading, this book was too difficult to read for me also, but don’t worry—I’m here to tell you the whole truth so you don’t have to stop reading.

I was reading at night and didn’t want to use my phone, so I decided to read until I fell asleep. I started reading chapter 4 and, guess what, as I was reading while lying in bed, So out of excitement, I suddenly got up from bed, and felt grateful that I had read it and that I hadn’t given up earlier.

I was so excited that I was thanking God that it was a good idea that I continued reading, and I continued reading to the end. and, Yes, this book is written by two people, but I’m not exactly sure who is writing at any given time, so I don’t know who is actually saying what.

As a result, the beginning is a little unclear, and I’m not sure who Abraham is because his name appears repeatedly throughout the book. For instance, Abraham wants us to say this, offers views on this, tells this, etc. However, if you stick with the book, it gets interesting.

and while part 1 is excellent, the processing section took a long period of time. Each process is real and different, but even with the lengthy processing, I chose to read through it because each of the 22 processes is different.

Let’s get right to my favorite five takeaways.

You are the one bringing all problems into your life:

The author explains that no matter what we choose, we are ultimately responsible for the problems we face. This means that if you pay attention to something, it will come to pass; whenever you pay attention to something, it enters your life. Therefore, avoid focusing on anything negative that you would prefer not to come into existence. This is how the law of attraction works.

There is no exclusion, which implies that everything in the world operates on an inclusive system.

If you say yes to something and you want it to happen in your life, you are allowing it to happen. On the other hand, if you say no to something, it will still happen; because there’s no exclusion, only inclusion, what matters is that you give it your full attention. The key is to pay attention to the only things you want to happen.

If you have a desire, concentrate on it rather than on what you lack.
In other words, if you have an old car and you want a new one but you are constantly thinking that your old car is not good enough or that you don’t like the color, then you are focusing on lack and the negative. Instead, you should think positively about the car without thinking negatively about your old car. 

You are in charge of your life.

the law of attraction only works when you are positive because that is how you raise your vibration. Therefore, even if things aren’t going well in your life, focus on the positive aspects of it and visualize living a happy life. Your current emotions are what matters; if they are positive, you will vibrate at a higher frequency; if they are negative, you will vibrate at a lower frequency.

You have only 17 seconds.

This is my favorite, and 1 complete chapter is based on it, but let me explain in short. If you have read the other four takeaways, you are now aware of your thoughts, which may make you feel like it’s not enough to always be positive. However, the author explains that all it takes is 17 seconds to make a change. If you catch yourself thinking negatively, don’t be hard on yourself; it’s normal to think negatively.

However, you only have 17 seconds to change your thinking to something positive since it only takes 17 seconds to activate your thoughts into manifestation.

Book rating: 5 out of 5; even though the first three chapters are overly long, I cannot ignore the fact, that this book enabled me to understand the law of attraction better.
