To have a positive attitude towards yourself, you have to control your beliefs. What I mean by control is that your belief system shouldn’t be disturbed by others’ opinions.
Like Henry Ford, he didn’t give up after his engineers denied him. That’s how you have to be powerful and positive enough to make it.
Your belief system becomes stronger through driven desire.
Ever wondered why some people succeed? They all have the same 24 hours, right? It’s because they’re driven by their desires. You have to find your desire.
You might think there’s nothing, but everyone has something they love. You can turn that into your desire. But it’s not just about desire; it’s about being driven. Your desire should drive you every day.
For instance, let’s say you want to travel, but you don’t like your job. You can make that desire work for you. Think about it: if you do your job, you’ll earn money to travel. But this can only happen if your desire to travel is strong enough to make you work every day.
Take Dashrath Manjhi, for example. He broke a mountain. Why? Because of his love for his wife. Here’s his story: His wife fell from a mountain, and the nearest hospital was 90 km away because the same mountain blocked the shorter route. She died because they couldn’t reach the hospital in time.
So, he decided to break the mountain with a hammer. After 22 years of hard work, he did it. How? Because he believed he could. Now, there’s a road, making it easier to reach the hospital. His belief system became strong because of his love for his wife.
You can also think about your parents and how they struggled to give you an easy life. You can make it your desire to give them a better life. Do what works for you. Do the work you love, or start loving the work you do.
You can strengthen your belief system by gaining knowledge.
Because you believe you can’t change easily, you’ve made your belief system strong by believing that changing is hard. So start feeding new knowledge into your brain. Go to different places, and meet new people.
Stop hanging out with friends who only talk negatively and aren’t growing.
Make your surroundings positive.
Action you need to take right now: Take a pencil and write about the things you think you can’t achieve but want to achieve. Then start searching for people who have achieved those things, watch case studies, and study how they did it. Now start improving yourself. Because when you research them, you will realize how much hard work is required, and how you can do it too.
Because you always think that they got success easily. Because you always see their luxurious life, not their struggle.
