10 lessons I learned from this book: Ask and it is given.

“Ask and It Is Given” is a book all about making your dreams come true by understanding the power of your thoughts and feelings.

It talks about something called the Law of Attraction, which basically says that whatever you focus on, you attract into your life. The book gives practical tips and exercises to help you shift your thoughts and feelings towards what you really want, so you can create the life you desire.

It’s like a guidebook for using your mind to make amazing things happen!

You are always asking:

You’re always asking, whether you realize it or not. Have you ever thought about something you didn’t want to happen, but it did? Yes, that’s how this asking system works.

This book explains that we ask through our attention, whether we’re using words or not. What really matters is where we put our focus. If we’re focusing on negative things, that’s what we’re asking for in our life. That’s why it’s crucial not to dwell on the negatives.

The Law of Attraction:

The law of attraction is pretty simple when you break it down. It’s all about focusing on what you want, not on what you don’t have or on the feeling of wanting it. So, let’s say you want a car. Focus on the feeling of already having it rather than continuously thinking about how much you want it or sorrowing the fact that you don’t yet have it.

Be confident in that feeling. Because if you keep thinking about not having it, you’re just attracting more of that lack into your life.

The same goes for focusing on wanting it—you’ll just keep vibrating on that feeling of wanting. So, just feel like you already have it, and that’s how you’ll attract it into your life. Simple, right? Don’t overcomplicate it.

This world is inclusion:

Oh my God, this is the best thing I’ve read. Just wow! The world is about inclusion, not exclusion.

It means you’re inviting everything into your life, and you’re the one completely responsible for your life. The sad moments, the happy moments, all the moments—you’ve invited them.

For example, if you want to experience something good and say yes to it, you’ve invited it. But, if you don’t want to experience something and focus on the things you don’t want to experience, you’re saying a big no to it. However, you’ve still invited it to happen in your life because there’s no exclusion.

Just because you say no, it doesn’t mean you exclude it. All that matters is your attention. Your attention is the invitation, so there’s no yes or no—there’s only attention, which holds power.”

Still not happened what you want?:

The author says that there will always be an answer to your desires. If something you’ve wanted for a long time hasn’t happened yet, then there might be strong negative feelings resisting it.

You can feel your emotions right now. Are you feeling good thinking about it? If the answer is no, then observe your negative feelings. If the answer is yes, then your desire is on the way.

Just start noticing, and you will definitely find your emotions.

For example, I really don’t want to mention this example because I want you to think, but anyway, let’s use it as a free gift, hahaha.

Let’s jump to the example. Let’s say you want a bike, and you already have one bike. Now you want a new bike, okay? So, your whole focus should be on wanting the new bike. If you focus on the old bike, then you are vibrating with a feeling of lack, like you have a bad bike or your old bike isn’t working well, etc.

So, focus on the wanting, and notice your desire, whether it’s positive or negative.

Collect information:

The author explains this in a very beautiful way by providing the best example that I can’t wait to add to this post. Let’s say you are feeling empty. What are you going to do? You might watch a series to get rid of that empty feeling, right?

This is what I’ve done until today. Some people drink, some smoke, but nobody is doing the right thing.

For example, the author says, if your vehicle’s tank is empty, what are you going to do? Are you going to criticize the vehicle? Of course not. You receive information and then work through it. You realize, “Oh, I need to add more fuel, right?” You collect information based on the tank being empty.

That’s how our emotional being works. If we feel emptiness, we should ask ourselves why.

Why am I feeling this emotion? What causes this? Try to collect information and work on it instead of trying to get rid of that feeling. Whenever I don’t study and I know I need to, but that feeling of emptiness is so disturbing, instead of working on it, I choose to get rid of it by watching a series.

But it always ends up even worse because it only gives you a temporary solution, not a permanent one.

Everything changes:

If you want something to change, you have to change your thoughts because things are always changing. So, if you’re stuck in a situation and you wish to change it, then you must change your thoughts. Start thinking different thoughts. In simple language, if you want different things, you must think of different thoughts.

Appreciate things:

In every aspect of your life, make sure to focus on the positive and appreciate, because when you appreciate, you shift your mind to positive things. The more you appreciate, the more you tell the universe that you are happy, and naturally, the universe will make way for more happiness.

And no, it doesn’t mean you have to force yourself to feel good; just start focusing on things and appreciate. For example, if you’re in the car, instead of focusing on traffic, you can focus on your car and appreciate that you have it, because many people do not. So, be thankful and find ways to feel appreciative.

The journey when you’re tired:

Just have patience and trust that you will reach your destination. Let’s say you want to go somewhere, and you take a car or any vehicle. If you get tired midway, are you going to give up? Are you going to go back? Of course not, right? So why do you get easily tired when it comes to your goals?

Just accept that you need to go through a lot, and no matter what, you have to keep going toward your goal.

“Mold the clay”:

This is the best example of slow practice. The author uses the example of clay sculptors. Do they make their best creation on the first go? No, right? It takes them years of practice to reach there. They create their creations with their thoughts, feeling their hands as they create. You can also use this method to train your mind and to feel well.

Slowly, observe your mind, focus on good things, and accept that it will take years of practice to reach that mindfulness.

“Do not be concerned about things which are not helping you”:

Let’s start with an example. Say you want to cook chicken, and in the fridge, there are vegetables that you don’t need for your chicken. But just because vegetables are not required for your chicken, are you going to think about the vegetables wasting your space or making your life hard? No, right? You just ignore them because you feel no discomfort due to the unwanted vegetables for your chicken. That’s how life works. There will be some people who are not useful to you; they just exist.

But you should ignore them and focus on the things and people who are helping you, and who support you.

Do not use space in your mind for people who are useless to you. Just leave them, leave the situation, leave the people, and ignore the thoughts without any discomfort. If you are clear about the things you want and the person you want to become, you will feel no concern about the people and situations, or whatever exists, no matter how huge they are.
